Slow Boat Goes to the Beach

Can you find the canal boat in this picture?

We passed through Death's Door unscathed and started working our way down the Door Peninsula, a long finger of land that forms the eastern shore of Green Bay (the landscape feature, not the city).

On the town dock, a former boathouse is
now an art gallery that encourages
boat owners to graffiti their boat names!
Newsboy sez, the Door Peninsula is "The Cape Cod of Wisconsin," and between the New England-style saltbox houses and the plethora of fudge/salt water taffy shops and the beach at Peninsula State Park, you can see the resemblance.

(And where is the Dragonfly in the  picture above? Anchored in front of the island, just behind a white powerboat. How did we get to shore? Our trusty dinghy!)
