In Lieu of BoatCam

Marinas have been crowded for Canada Day weekend.  Even lock walls-usually a reliable place to stay, have been full up.  On Friday it got later and later . . . and no place to dock. We pored over our books and charts and found this peaceful breakwater not far from the town of Rosedale.  Best of all: no charge!


 The next morning we discovered this boat (below)  had come in during the night.  We were VERY impressed by the impracticality of their dinghy . . .  and by how difficult it is to stow.
A canoe makes a perfectly fine dinghy!
I am taking advantage of internet access at a big marina in Orillia to post a bunch of stuff.  So keep reading below!
